About us
How did we get here: My Gen Treasures began selling on eBay in January 2024.
I started collecting trading cards featuring the “Monkees” from the 60’s TV show. The front of each card featured Davy, Peter, Micky or Mike. The reverse side was part of a puzzle of the group together. On the other side of town my wife was collecting Barbie dolls.
We both continued to collect in the 70s and 80s. Then in 1985, the two collectors met. We opened a theme restaurant in 1995 in El Paso named My Generation Bar & Grill. My wife said theme restaurants arrange their stuff with no rhyme or reason, so we should be different and organize our collection into decades. Our collection included historic newspapers, vintage toys, lunch boxes, political memorabilia, etc. Everybody loved our displays and we served pretty good buffalo chicken wings too!
