MycoBloom fungi have a distinct ecology, exceptional diversity, and history of success. MycoBloom fungi are collected from pristine prairies in the Great Lakes region. MycoBloom uses native soils and local ecotype plant hosts to culture our inocula because we care about preserving the ecological relevance of our fungi. Using these techniques, we are able to minimize the genetic adaptations of the fungi to the artificial greenhouse environment, keeping them genetically very similar to those that helped make the Midwest so fertile. To better represent the fungal diversity commonly found in nature, MycoBloom Fungal Inocula includes 7 fungal species. Our fungal lineages have been used in 10+ published scientific articles. These studies confirm that plants can have larger growth, survival, drought tolerance, and herbivore resistance with our unique blend of mycorrhizal inocula.
