OUR LEGACY IN CLASSICAL INDIAN MUSIC
Late Shree Chakori Prasad Jaiswal, born in Varanasi—the oldest town in the world—hailed from a family deeply rooted in the tradition of making and playing classical Indian musical instruments. Varanasi has a solid musical background and is known for its rich heritage in Indian classical music.

My Grandfather possessed extensive traditional knowledge of crafting and playing musical instruments. This expertise was passed down to my father and then to me, ensuring the continuation of our family’s musical legacy.

In 1948, my grandfather established a small workshop named Ravi Classical Music Centre. This workshop quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality North Indian musical instruments such as sitars, tanpuras, tanpuris, and more.

My father is not only a skilled luthier but also an accomplished musician. He has had the honor of collaborating with some of the most distinguished names in Ind

This sitar is AWESOME!!! It looks almost exactly like my first sitar, that I bought at a "brick & mortar"store. It is also half the price of my 1st sitar.Overall, workmanship quality is "very good"(4 sympathetic strings were missing.Ican place new strings soon.My rating would have been excellents if none of the strings were missing)! The fretboard is straight, the frets are tied the way they are supposed to be tied, the rumba is attached securely, & varnish:very shiny. Excellent sound quality!
