I always ad a passion for wood. I guess it’s in my blood, family thing!
My origins are Greek, even if I was born and raised in Canada, our family name is Marengos and the history behind our name is fascinating. My great grand dad arrived in Montreal without speaking a word of French and a little bit of English. At the customs, the officer asked him is name, witch he replied “Maragos”. Since they were a language barrier, the officer wrote Marengos, my great grand dad never ask the government to correct the mistake.
By the way Maragos in Greek means “Carpenter” that’s why I said it was in are blood.
So I guess this is a tribute to my ancestors.
