Item arrived as genuine and new in package (not pictured), however it must be older stock as the batteries were dead and leaking (which is understandable due to the age of the item and its rarity!)   Item was sealed and as described but as it was packed in only a mailer and not a box it was slightly crushed in transit. Damage isn't too bad and only to the album box but it still would have been nice to have it arrive in better shape.
