HRYGD: A Furniture Philosophy of Symbiosis with Nature
In the old Brooklyn factory, Henry, a third-generation carpenter, found the answer on a stormy night. While restoring his mother's turtleback bamboo, he suddenly realized that furniture should not be a cold container, but a partner in life. This epiphany broke the shackles of the family's centuries-old legacy - grandfather's oak cabinet was too much like a taxidermy box, father's carved table trapped the roots of green roses.
HRYGD infuses a sense of breath into the design DNA: the black walnut headboard hides a moss petri dish, releasing a forest scent late at night; the metal bookshelf is pre-programmed with a water conduction system, allowing the ivy to be self-sufficient during the rainy season. While traditional craftsmanship is hostile to cracks in wood, the designers here have reserved growth paths for fluorescent ferns.
