I grew up in my great-grandfather's house and was surrounded by stories, pictures and possessions from so long ago. Papa and his brother came from Germany and opened one of the first bakeries in Arkansas. The importance of family history gave me an appreciation of all things "vintage", from antique furniture to wooden rolling pins and hatpins...you name it !!! My grandmother and mother were very frugal women, living through hard times of the Depression and never moved from the 1879 home my great grandfather built. That house is in the process of being totally restored by my son and will remain a family treasure for years to come. Because of my love for vintage things, I became a "collector "and have had numerous vintage market booths. So in keeping with the times, I have opened my online thrift store and named it for my mother, Gloria, whose nickname was Glory. I hope you will enjoy looking at the treasures I have found along the way. To me, life is just one big treasure hunt.....
