Seller offered a set of ingame glasses for the trouble. Claimed it was a new thing. I'm a noob at star citizen so have to ake his word for it. However I did find that the $1000 gifting limit has been around for a while.

The gift email from RSI says that it's the ship the seller upgraded from. However it was the ship I asked for. The system of gifts on RSI for some reason always writes in email only the name of the original base ship and does not mention what it was upgraded.
