This card has been invaluable in getting my IBM PC XT up and running. It ships with the “tiny” variant of the BIOS, I recommend installing one more curated to your setup. I chose the “xt” variant, I believe the ROM installed only supports 8kb images. Follow the instructions on the page, the addresses are 300h and 308h. I use this with an IDE/CF adapter, allowing file access via CF/USB adapter for backups or file transfer. Via the utility you can flash 28C64 ROMs for other projects too.

This works perfect. I am using this on an old (circa 1986) XT, computer. It never had a hard drive. It ran off a floppy only. The system runs a machine that automatically drills holes in metal tubing. It's a one off machine. The software only works on an XT with a certain parallel port, and a game port. I was able to upgrade the system with this card and a 40-pin Industrial Grade IDE DOM (Disk-On-Module). Again, it works perfect. Thank you so much.
