    The item was new as was specified. The box was wrapped in a plastic sleeve thing. When I removed the plastic the box had some damage from going through the mail. The plastic didn’t protect it. We threw the original box away. The train set was fine. This is the second one we ordered from this seller. My boys love their train sets.
