About us

How we started.
Back is 2012, the owner of BLOCK SHADES had his child in the back seat of his vehicle and the sun was shining directly onto his baby. He tried to use stick on suction cup shades but they kept falling off. Window tint made it difficult to drive at night. There was a problem that needed a solution. For the next 10 years, research and development was done to bring a product to market that was high quality, easy to install, and protected precious cargo. Officially launched on February 2022.

Why we do it.
The founder of this business always liked the privacy and convenience of rear side window sunshades but couldn't afford to replace his car with one that comes with the sunshade from the factory. There had to be a way to add premium features to lower end vehicles.
