About us
Austin Creative Reuse began in 2009 as a grassroots movement driven by artists, teachers, and community members passionate about sustainability. After becoming a nonprofit in 2011, we proudly opened Austin’s first creative reuse center in 2015.
In 2020, we launched our online store, which later evolved into eBay for Charity in 2025. Along the way, we discovered unique and vintage treasures that deserved to be cherished rather than repurposed or upcycled—so we created our eBay store to connect these special finds with people who truly appreciate them.
We’ve come so far, and we’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue our mission to inspire reuse in Austin!
