After the Finish Line is a 501 (c)(3) funding non-profit dedicated to the welfare of Thoroughbred horses that can no longer race or breed. We award Monthly Emergency Grants helping between 2-6 aftercare organizations every month of the year. These organizations, located throughout the United States, rehabilitate, re-train and re-home horses for a second career or retirement due to injuries. Our grants can be used for the following expenses: saving horses auctions, surgery, medical, farrier, dental, vet, hay, feed, training, boarding &/or transportation. Since we began in 2007, After the Finish Line has awarded 510 grants to aftercare organizations in 30 states and Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, helping over 3,100 Thoroughbreds at various stages of their racing career. This includes Off Track Thoroughbreds, foals, unraced Thoroughbreds, stallions and broodmares. Visit our website at, www.afterthefinishline.org.
