About us
John "Boomer" Leighty is a writer/editor, dog lover, and beachcomber who is selling a unique collection of signed first edition books, mostly from the 1970s and early 80s when he interviewed a wide range of authors as a national features writer for UPI news. In addition, there are first printings, hard-to-find titles, vintage and rare books regularly being added to his popular eBay store (www.ebay.com/usr/johnsrarebooks). As a journalist in San Francisco's psychedelic days, John also accumulated numerous nostalgic items that are now for sale, many tied to news events - such as a "Cable Cars Are Back," photo and pamphlet heralding the system's renovation. Enjoy browsing through this treasure trove of great books and memorabilia - if you find something you love, make an offer! JohnsRareBooksandCollectibles is continually listing great deals on boomer-era items and current hot trends. Read a book!
