I expected a pretty low or decent quality bass for this price, but my GOD was I wrong... This isn't a 24 fret bass it's 21, but this baby sounds like a $300 Bass! The tone is great! there's little to no fret buzz with the strings that come with it. Also slapping is a beauty on here, it sounds so good and feels good too, I highly recommend if you're looking for 21 frets, not 24 though.

i was not expecting much, but i wanted an inexpensive bass to keep at work so i can practice at lunch. i already have a P Bass so a JB seemed a good idea. unfortunately mine showed up with a few significant scratches. but so what, it will be a bang around bass . action was very high and the truss rod needed a few tweaks. there is a little buzz here and there..also so what. it does not come through the amp. second...i expected to have to do a fret job anyways. the bass looks good other than the scratches. plays fine and the neck is decent. it is NOT 24 frets like some of the listings say. the body is very light, the contours are comfortable. for a student you cant go wrong for under 100.00, if you are a NEW Bass player i strongly recommend either learning to do set ups, or paying to have it set up and a fret level done . as shipped it will be frustrating and hard to play. realistically I have played new fenders that needed the same care. for a third the price of a squire you can get a similar experience.Read full review

I wasn’t so happy with the way the bass looked initially. Bass came very dusty almost like it’s been sitting somewhere for a very long time and the strings aren’t the best even for stock. Has a very small dent. There are spots of dry glue on the bridge and a few areas around the neck. Aside from that after a little touch up, it looks great and my step son is enjoying it. Great for the price.

The cutaway horns on this bass are a bit chubby, but other than that, this instrument is true to all that's best about the Jazz Bass! That super slim neck is there, and the controls and pickups work great! This also makes a good mod job: I upgraded mine with Seymour Duncan pickups, D'Addario strings, and new electronics. Great for beginners and thrifty pros!

Only thing we have seen it's lacking is a case but for the price, excellent.
