Simply put this is the best of the Police albums. It may not have the super standout tracks like So Lonely or Walking on the Moon but overall it scores. Best tracks are the heart-breaking Driven To Tears and the punchy Canary in a Coalmine. I also love the optimism in When the World is Running Down...a great song that I think has some timely messages for the world's current economic dilemma. I also like it because it was a great moment where the band still had punky chops but were experimenting with new rhythms and sounds. It is vastly superior to the next two studio albums where they forgot that they could rock and began to indulge too heavily in pop-oriented sounds. Start to finish it is a fabulous album.
Very satisfied!

The only Police album I like! Not a bad remaster, but any remaster is a good thing! Record co's... take notice! Quit catering to the lowest common denominator! Kids wiih crappy sound systems!!!!!!!!!
Police's third album, style of the Police still orginal but really only like half the songs. Be sure to get the remaster or you won't be happy with the sound quality. If you like this, be sure to get the second album Reggata de'Blanc
This has some very energetic music. Awesome groove on here. I like the Police more than Sting solo. Lots of energy and bouncy. Buy it if you like to groove.
