First off, I want to preface this by saying this is an awesome game. It's one of the more interesting Yu-Gi-Oh games because of the environment. Forbidden Memories takes place in Ancient Egypt with the Pharoahs who began the Shadow Games. That's sick. The graphics are good for a PS1 title. The character sprites and environment stills are pretty, and the 3D models of the cards are good. I always skipped the fight scene though as it's time consuming. The gameplay is what you should expect from Yu-Gi-Oh, go from battle to battle with increasing difficulty until you are the champion or save the world (in this case, the latter). The biggest thing here is the difficulty. You better know your stuff or have a guide handy. The big thing in this game is FUSIONS, and there are no indicators that a monster is going to fuse. At a decently early point in the game, (like battle 4) you have to be able to fuse incredibly powerful monsters or you will lose. Getting new cards isn't easy, so you'll be fusing a lot. And if you fuse, you'll have a 2100 ATK monster or so, but if you don't, you're stuck with a deck full of 700ATK monster cards until late in the game. Very difficult, but engaging and challenging. I recommend this game to Yu-Gi-Oh and PS1 fans alike.Read full review

As I a previous owner of this game I knew it was absolutely great. After displacing my own I had to get my hands on another one. This game came with its original case but no manual. I did not mind the fact that it did not contain a manual but was disappointed because of the big scratch in front of the case. Other than that this game is stupendous just like the deal given to me by this seller.
Just decent Card Game..Never played any of the newer ones so i really can't compare ...in my opion the game is not to bad...like any other game ..does get boring after a while of trying to get the good cards..
I got this game because I'm a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh, But the game wasn't that great. Of course none of my Yu-Gi-Oh video games were what I expected. So this isn't really a review of Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories, It's a review of all the Yu-Gi-Oh games I've played.
