More sunshine pop from The Critters? Indeed, but songs such as "It Just Won't Be That Way," "Everything But Time," "Blow My Mind" and others have more" attitude" than most sunshine pop, and, of course, that's right up my alley. And? And I found the CD interesting, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. That said, nothing here, including the covers of "Younger Girl" (Lovin' Spoonful) and "Dancing in the Street" (Martha and the Vandellas), turned the rock world upside down. But it doesn't have to. Curiously enough one song, "Walk Like a Man Again," sounds very much like David Byrne and Talking Heads, a new wave band. The Critters should be much better known. Recommended. Text and 16-page booklet.
