I've been a Zappa fan since the late 70's. This is a CD that only a diehard Zappa fan can appreciate. Be aware that the song selections are very eclectic and kind of catches the listener off-guard. Also, I highly recommend viewing the DVD, "Rock School". You'll love how Paul Green pays tribute to the genius of Frank Zappa. --Dogworden
Great!!

This album was my 3rd experience listening to Frank Zappa's music. The other 2 were his live albums(You can't do that on stage..). This album is a laugh-out riot. When I need some cheering up, I put this on. Frank was lost way too early (1940-1993); however, he has a lot of fun stuff to listen to. This album is no exception.
Frank covers every ground on this one as the title suggests: cowboys, Hollywood, Evangelists, war in the middle east etc... The music is so on point, that when I first heard this as a teenager, I literally thought of it as "other-worldly". The guitar work is incredible and the vocals of Ray White and Ike Willis are worth the price of admission alone. Even..., no especially if your just dicovering Zappa, this one's for you.
