The front panel is falling off and the back prongs for the speakers, 2 are broke. But other than that I have to be gentle but the sound is good and the value is great.

I just had to upgrade my Sony A/V STR-970. I needed HDMI in a big way. Downsizing to a smaller entertainment center, I really needed to clean up a few secret treasures concealed by my bigger cabinet. So, the hunt was on for the best A/V Home Theater receiver for the buck. I found a Yamaha RX-V567 $479 MSRP for $215 Free S+H. The specs and reviews were spot on. The 567 was to become the mothership of my home theater. The 567 took on my 26" Vizio flat screen, Panasonic Blue Ray and Klipsch Synergy Theater Fronts, Center, SS and back speakers in exquisite fashion. No background noise, no hum just pure near audiophile quality sound with enough power to blow all the speakers if I sit on the remote volume button by mistake. If the receiver had more HDMI and optical outputs, I would like it even more. If it had a SNR of 130 and a THD of .003%, I would be swinging from the chandaliers but so would my checkbook. The 567 controls the homogenous performance of my theater group and is worthy of all rave reviews, including mine. I am legally blonde but this thing was easy to set up by following along with the manual. If you get a rtefurb you can get the manual free on the Yamaha site and fire it up on the lap top with a glass of wine. So if all else fails, get something to drink, read the manual and you'll get it going on in no time flat. I did it when Iwasn't in a rush. I even had fun setting it up (the reisling helped) Go getcha one...............RoxiRead full review
I wanted one like this for years and finally got it. I'm sooo impressed. So far I only have the front three speakers set up and no sub. I am breathless at times. The DPS modes are unreal! Can't wait till I set up the other 5 speakers!!

The setup is a breeze with the onscreen menu. The price is just right for a entry level 3-D ready receiver that has all your audio needs. The remote is laid out that anyone in the household can operate all the functions. When adjusting the volume you have to look at the face of receiver to see the level for there is no onscreen for this, only the setup has onscreen function. Overall this is a good receiver for a home entertainment system.
