I've been using a Xerox Phaser in my office for over a decade beginning with the 8400. The print speed and quality is second to none. The printer is price just right ($500-600) to buy new when it needs technical support, and that is a rarity. I say that because a service call may run you $150 or more. A simple repair including parts can set you back $350. So a couple hundred dollars more and you have a new printer that comes with a new maintenance kit and a few cubes of ink. That alone is worth $150. Yes, consumables are expensive. Be ready for a sticker shock. With that said, the amount of time saved and quality of print outweighs the cost, and in business, time is money.

This printer is fast, prints outstanding and accurate colors and a work horse. Solid ink produces glossy prints on reular paper. Since there are less moving parts there are less things to break. Go for it, you will not be sorry.
This is an excellent printer. Beautiful output, fast printing. The only con is that it takes a long time to warm up.
Everything was great on this purchase with the expection of the printer not being cleared before it arrived. I had to pay a Xerox technition to come and use his laptop to reprogram the printer. It had lost some of the intitial settings from the factory. I assumed this refurbed unit would be set to factory defaults. On top of the purchase price I had to pay $125.00 to get this machine up and running. I could have bought a brand new unit for less.
Faster and better quality printing than the 8550. Well behaved. Don't have to change ink very often. Quite tolerant of the different papers we like to feed.
