The pros of this game to me is how fun, interactive and diverse it is. I am not a musician, but this game here gives me an appreciation for the many types of music. From rock to classic, from jazz to march (band-like music) you can play a large variety of instruments. You can add instruments in or can take instruments out of songs so it can sound how you like. The cons, if any at all, are that the this game has controls that are optional but you may find that the controls are vital. For example, I played the game but I did not have a balance board (the component to play wii fit) and I wanted to play drums. If you use the wii remote and nunchuk alone, the beat becomes consistent, but after a while will become uneven without the balance board to simulate the bass drum. Other than that, I cannot find any apparent cons. Overall, if you're a musician or not, this game is great for those who want to learn and those who love to play.Read full review

This game is not to good but not to bad. This is mainly just a joke by everyone and should be remembered so that way it never dies and we can continue to make fun of it.

Wii Sports, with its simple, but fun (and in the case of bowling, surprisingly deep) control mechanics, has proven a runaway sensation for Nintendo. I still pick up the compilation now and again, especially when I've got some friends over, and bowl a few rounds or even hit some virtual tennis balls back and forth. And I have supported the developer's innovative exercise program, Wii Fit, since it was first unveiled; it is another piece of software that I continue to use -- it has, in fact, become part of my weekly workout regimen. On the other hand, I've remained outwardly skeptical of Wii Music since its unveiling because, for all of Nintendo's demos of the title, I've never really been convinced that there is an interesting or fun mechanic to playing the wide assortment of instruments housed within. And disappointingly, my extended time with the finished product has not wiped away that skepticism. If anything, it's only confirmed my suspicions, specifically that Nintendo's first step into the music / rhythm genre is actually a misstep, one resulting in a product so unsophisticated that it practically plays itself.Read full review
Being a bass player who plays funky slap and pop, I'm a little disappointed with the lack of musical "ability" but it's no different than guitar hero. This gamew is AWESOME for youngster. My 10yr old daughter loves it. I bought an instrument acessory pack so she can play the trumpet, fiddle, etc. The drums are a bit trickier than I had thought...you don't 'point and play' it more like hold in a button and take a swing....awkward when it comes to the toms because you have to hold a directional button while you play. For example to hit the snare with the nunchuck you hold 'C' to hit it with the remote you hold 'A' The balance board option is a blast! Complete hi-hat control. The games are very fun as well. Definitely worth a look if you're into wii-fit. it's a very similar setup as far as a guide leads you through exercises and lessons. Again I'm a little disappointed in the instrument control, like to play the keyboard you basically do a drum roll. Not very involved, but they do the best they can with the tools available. I paid $20 for it, I would not play $50.Read full review
older children who are very into graphics may not like this game. it's for a younger crowd. some parts are annoying but this is a fantastic tool to teach kids about music. you can pick different intstruments, learn about tone and pitch, and keep a rhythm. you can also record the song you play as a video and review it. you can then design your own cd jacket. with each new level you unlock new songs and new designs. another great feature is to conduct an orchestra with another player and see how well you play together. it's a simple game that teaches about music as well as taking turns and team work.
