This book needs to be much more widely known. It can change your life. So much discussion of fear is based on emotion, which has its role, but Plonka opens up a whole new world of understanding about fear. I found it to be a revelation how it is related so much to our body, its postures and so on. And this approach enables a number of highly practical strategies for dealing with fear. Also, we do not see our fear - Plonka reveals much covert fear and exposes its hiding places. For example, I discovered that much of my tendency to procrastinate derives from subtle buried fears, even if slight, about the burden of stepping out of my comfort zone and taking on a pro-active life that seems to contrast with my self image. So a sense of self is actually threatened. Plonka teases out these sneaky manifestations of fear. Her background is quite impressive and no one could doubt her authority. She has something to say very useful for all of us. And we are all subject to fear in ways we do not see or even wish to see - another fear.Read full review
