The 3 Gbps SATA interface in this internal HDD enables high-speed data transfer, making it ideal for gaming and multimedia applications. As the Western Digital Caviar WD10EVVS has a 3.5-inch form factor, it can be used in desktop computers. Supporting the SilkStream technology, this Western Digital AV drive enables a smooth and continuous digital video playback of up to 12 simultaneous HD streams. The IntelliPark feature in the Western Digital Caviar WD10EVVS moves the recording head away from the disk surface during spin up, spin down and when this internal HDD is off, improving its reliability and non-operational shock tolerance. This Western Digital AV drive’s IntelliSeek feature helps you to calculate optimum seek speeds, to lower power consumption, and reduce noise and vibration.

This is a very fast and reliable hard drive. Highly recomended.
I bought this hard drive as a storage drive in my computer that only came with a 80gb hard drive. What I like about this drive is, it is a very fast drive, with an internal transfer rate of 300mbs. Western Digital seems to be one of the most reliable hard drives on the market today. It's the only brand of drive that I will buy.
