Another very entertaining Wallace and Gromit 30-minute adventure, but a little more mature and a touch more black than previous. Don't wish to ruin the show for you, but a warning for those with small children (5 years and younger) - there is a murder committed (okay, implied) in the first ten seconds, although in typical Nick Park fashion it is presented in a unique way. Previous W and G 30-minute adventures have been gradually raising the stakes on violence references. The robot in "A Grand Day Out" nearly bashed Wallace's cranium but stopped short because of a humorous reason. The penguin in "the Wrong Trousers" pulls a gun on Gromit, while Preston the cyborg dog kills sheep off camera in "A Close Shave". This time, however, it's just a little harder to rationalize the death of a human on "camera" to a child viewer. And the antogonist in this one would be pretty scary if not so funny. Don't leave your really young kids alone to watch this one the first time. Aside from that, I have given this DVD an "excellent" rating because of the increasing quality of the animation and story-telling and overall entertainment value. Notably, the expressiveness within Gromit's facial expressions has evolved beyond the earlier episodes. Oh yes, one thing that actually bugged me was the difficulty my particular DVD player encountered trying to miss the "coming attractions" especially the one for the PG-rated animated Sci-Fi movie. As always, dark humor. Not a storyline for young children AT ALL. The art itself is great as are the amazing sets. My dvd had a 'The Making of' special-feature. Very interesting.

Not a feature movie as in 90 minutes this is a little more like normal Wallace and Grommit shows. Didn't know this existed and it is a fun addition with great characters and storyline

I am a big Wallace & Gromit fan and love all the movies made. It was fun watching the exciting plot unfolding . The new characters introduced were great .This is good for family viewing.Well worth the addition to your current collection. The out takes were quite entertaining and funny. But it was so short would have liked a longer movie.I bought this at an excellent price and it is the 20th anniversary collection. A must see if you have not already and buy it for your collection .
The movie is great. I've been a Wallace and Gromit fan for a long time. I found it just a bit shy of what I consider the usual Wallace and Gromit, more violent, less innocent lovable. I felt that the animation was somehow just a bit different, it felt more processed, less hands-on. That said, it's a good one to have in the collection...
