IBM model M: Flimsy plastic rivets and internally locked but really well made apart from that
Extremely resilient specimen and made to withstand the test of time. It is able to last 30 years without any kind of corrosion. The only keyboard I have seen to use cobalt case hardened screws and full 2 piece pbt replaceable and easy removal keycaps.
Feels amazing and has a really light spacebar unlike the older model F's.
The clicks however are a little inconsistent and not nearly as pronounced as the clack on the model F, as only the spring itself is mostly audible. A very nice keyboard to type on, though it may be slightly heavier than usual for the normal typist. Nothing comes closer to perfection than the model f and model m, designed by the same guy who made IBM beam springs. Very easy to convert into usb through the use of a pro micro and some ps2 sockets. Also note that this keyboard unlike the model f does not have nkro.
If you were in a zombie apocalypse this would be your melee weapon of choice. Especially the 122 key version. :)
