Every aspect of this film was low budget. Probably substandard cameras and film, but maybe just very poor camera work. Mediocre story with a couple of interesting aspects. Terrible acting, combined with a useless director, and less then adequate sets and back drops. Roll these together and you get a fairly rotten film. If you love zombie movies and need your fix... I've heard that there exist people [I have never met one] that like to get together and watch 'BAD' movies and this may be for them, too. There are worse zombie movies but this isn't much better. Inferior F/X. Plot our evil government loses a chemical weapon and it ends at the tattoo shop of an overly angry guy. Meanwhile- a pizza shop owner wants some slackers to leave his shop forever and go hang out somewhere else. One of the slackers says if he gets a tattoo at the angry guy's place they'll leave and never come back. But it has to be a stupid tattoo that the slacker drew. The pizza shop owner gets the tattoo with the 'government, chemical weapon, contaminated tattoo ink. Now the zombie out break will start. Everybody in the movie suffered the handicap of being "Acting Challenged". So unfit individuals were given an opportunity to be involved in something which they'd normally would/should be discriminated from. Here's the 'Big But...' if you have very little money but wish to try to make a movie: "Vs. the Dead" can be a tool. It's: 'Okay, you failed miserably but you've got to start somewhere.' You, can probably make something as bad in a weekend. And maybe you'll have fun, learn, and be really good. Maybe you're good enough to replace a lot of the unfit people in today's modern Hollywood. [Because they've been releasing a lot of bad films, recently! And they have 'monster' budgets] So this can be your educational vehicle to your future.Read full review
