I never thought I could shoot sub-moa, but with this scope I see it is possible. I have mounted it , but have yet to take it to the range to dial in. The large eye relief makes me feel secure that I won't get a black eye. The adjustments click very crisply. The sun shade is quite long and makes the rifle look very gnarly. More importantly, it will help control glare if I ever have to sight up-sun. It has a high-quality feel to it. I am keen to use the AO feature to eliminate pesky parallax. The BDC reticle appears to be centered on 0.308, which is what I have.

I mounted it on a Springfield Armory M1A Scout rifle. It works, its a low profile LONG EYE RELIEF scope. Is it a Trijicon .... NO. Its a $140 scope. Period.

I use "scout" scopes on vintage military rifles. Because I'm a bit too old for iron sights, I buy scope mounts that clamp onto the Mauser's mount that holds the original "ladder" sight. I then use a scout scope for 200 yard military rifle matches. I like 2-7 power. The higher settings make it a lot easier to sight-in. The lower powers (2-4) allow us to get on target quickly. In fact, a forward-scoped military rifle offers everything you'd need for deer. I've tried to use pistol scopes for this purpose, but was disappointed in their lack of eye relief. A true "scout" scope --like the Vortex I just purchased-- has really good eye relief. That enables me to move the scope fore --depending on the rifle's length-of-pull when installing it. I looked through several Vortex scopes at my gun club and was impressed with their quality -- especially for the price. Many of us would like to continue using our old military rifles. A scout scope like this enables us to do so without pouring a ton of money into an old Springfield or Mauser.Read full review

Its clear, accurate and easy to adjust. What more do you want from a scope? Ok there are other features I would love, but for this price range, I really enjoy what I have on this scope. The only thing I wish were there is a side focus adjustment, instead of on the lens hood. But other than that, I wouldn't change anything and I can live with the focus adjustment where it is. It was easy sight in, and has stayed dead on since. I don't really need anything more than that for my hunting rifle.

This is my 11th Vortex optic. Overall, Vortex is an astounding value across the board. Should I have purchased a higher quality scope? Wish I could have but I am very content with this option. The higher priced Vortex scope I had my eye on had a different reticle and was of the First Focal Plane variety(pricy). Am I dissatisfied? Not in the least! Actually this is my 3rd of the Crossfire II family. I certainly recommend them. This particular scope went on my Ruger SR762(.308). I've had other medium quality scopes that I've paid more for that were not as clear/sharp as this piece. Again, the Vortex group of optics is amazing. You get incredible BANG FOR THE BUCK!
