Product arrived exactly as described, but be forewarned: this is not a "quality" product. The instructions are a prime example of Chinese translation gone horribly, entertainingly wrong. Make sure you don't install this on a "floppy wall." Install it on a "strong wall or concrete wall." The included lag bolts do not come with proper washers. The screws provided for mounting the brackets to the television are M5 and M6, but no M4 as is quite popular among Sony televisions. I had to purchase my own. The brackets cannot be installed on the television first: They must be hand-tightened into place with the included carriage-style bolts in the exact position required for the rear of the television. It is up to you if you want to try and install the whole mount to the TV first and then hold that in place while you bolt the sucker to the wall, or try to install the bracket to the wall and then hold the TV in place while someone else starts the screws. Hopefully you got the brackets in the right position first. About those carriage-style screws: the square shoulder intended to keep the shank from rotating while tightening the nuts is not a good fit for the slots. Over-torquing the nuts may result in spinning the screw inside the bracket. You may be better off purchasing your own carriage bolts. I made mine work, but it could be improved greatly. The slots for the carriage-style screws are not only wide, but the slot may spread wider if you're unfortunate enough to require the middle of the road where the crossmembers are the weakest. Make absolutely sure you know which holes you plan on bolting this up with first. You may not be able to reach the screw heads if you don't choose your position correctly, as some available positions are located directly in front of crossmembers. For reference, I mounted a 40" Sony with a 200mm wide, 100mm high bolt pattern using the aforementioned M4 screws. I also had to purchase some proper washers for said screws. I mounted the bracket across two studs (thank God they lined up) but did not bother putting in the center two lags with included anchors. They would not have done anything in my plaster-and-lathe walls. After completing the bracket install and making sure the TV brackets were perfect, I had my daughter install the screws while I held the TV up to the bracket. This actually took quite some time: she builds robots in school and other projects at home, more than your average 15-year-old girl, and she still had trouble. Fortunately I'm a pretty big guy. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, considering the price, and as long as you know what you're getting into and don't need the useless instructions, you'll probably be okay. Otherwise this is not for your average Joe to just throw on in 15 minutes. I might include some photos later.Read full review

Made in China, that should say it all. I bought this tilt mount for my 32” HDTV. It didn’t fit the rear mounting points the way it should so I had to do some customizing. The hardware (screws) included were total crap. I drove to Home Depot to buy quality screws because the others were easily stripped. Eventually, I got the TV mounted but it did require a lot of custom work from my end. TV used was an LG at first, but then I got a Samsung the same size. You’re probably better off spending a little more money for better quality.

TV is level when the mount is extended. Once you retract the TV back towards the wall, the TV then tilts a bit to one side or the other depending on which way you fold the retractable arm.
