It is very nice derailleur. I have another Campagnolo C Record derailleur but I prefer this older one. This Nuovo record design has some feelings of previous era of modern design. It is very tasteful design, I think. And this one I bought has been well maintained and keeps good cosmetic condition. It prove that this product can keep nice quality for about 40 years, if it has been well maintained. If you ride 5s or 6s speed old bike, this one is one of the best. But pulleys might be breakable in long time using. Fortunately this one I bought has very nice conditioned pulleys. These are replaceable with Shimano's and it is not expensive. This derailleur fits perfectly for the Alan bike I assembled for my wife.

It would be hard to find a more classic vintage bike component than a Campagnolo Nuovo Record rear derailleur. Starting in the late 1960s, throughout the 1970s and into the early 1980s, they were the most popular high end rear derailleur made. I’ve always found them to work great if they are in nice condition and properly adjusted. There may be a few derailleurs that were a little lighter, or shifted a little better, but I’ll take the classic over any of the others any day for a vintage ride!

Very solid and reliable derailleur back in the day. I’m still using one on one of my regular road bikes.

The condition is amazing for nearly 50 years old. With a few period special upgrades

What to say about one of the best pieces of cycling history and engineering. This one was completely disassembled, cleaned, and put back together it appears. Great value in something that’s been lovingly looked after and is almost as old as I am.
