Many older electronics, like my TV was not compatible with the Copyright HDCA program. So, I got a no signal error message. The splitter is compatible. So now the signal is satisfied at the splitter and passes it on to my TV.

Item was shipped with no original packaging and was stuffed into a padded mailer. It was shipped with an AC adapter with plug type G instead of U.S. type A or B. Luckily I had the adapter from my old one that I could use. It works fine so far. I have to buy these splitters every few years because they are all cheaply made and will inevitably fail.

It works great splitting the HDMI output of my Sony CD/DVD Player. It also worked well splitting my Roku's HDMI output. That is, until Roku did a recent firmware update. Now it won't work with my Roku Ultra, but this is Roku's fault, not this great splitter's problem.

When updating my projector to a new HD one I also needed to add HDMI to SDI media converter and SDI HMDI converter to send the signal over the older RG6 (quad shield coax). However the idiots that designed HDCP and integrated it into HDMI meant this didnt work. Putting this splitter in-line before the HMDI SDI converter solved the problem perfectly. I do not have an HDCP problem anymore.

Good splitter, heavy metal box version. Also strips hdcp. Only flaw I found was if you bump the cables it will stop for a second. Somewhat like loose hdmi but isn't. Weird. I'm going to try different hdmi cord but still works so we will see about the long run.
