Great for connecting your phone to an older radio
The item received was slightly different than described, it has a red led display, and it switches between the voltage, which is very helpful, and the frequency being broadcast, which makes it easy to tune to the same channel as the Bluetooth device. Pairing took seconds, and it tells you when it is connected. The device is helpful as a hands free speaker phone, voice volume is a little low, but you can still be heard clearly! First impression: meh..
I mean, it's a Hong Kong special what do expect? I knew 100% what I was getting in to upon purchase. Any time you get a product like this it's never going to match the picture in the ad, nor will it match the written description that's obviously just copy and pasted from a different ad (easier than translating) because this doesn't have two USB ports like the ad says (some competitors models do). They didnt mention that this thing blinks, and has cheesey backlighting with colored lights. Oh yeah and a heavy accented voice speaking when you plug it in. It has some serious interference but just turn the music way up and you wont hear it. Would I buy again? Absolutely not. Will I return it? Nope..too much of a hassle to do so for the price. Your Bluetooth adventure.
The product can turn any radio into a radio with Bluetooth. That in itself is amazing. It also turns an Am radio into an FM receiver. it works by being plugged into a lighter and aligning the station on the unit and radio. Then you turn on your phones Bluetooth. Turn your music app on... you have music. And, with a USB cord you can also charge your phone! Awesome. Problem is it’s flimsy and if you hit a bump... it moves around. It’s top heavy. Then the music is lost. You need to recenter product and then restart music on phone. In between that, your radio is screaming at you in Spanish or scratching your ears out til you get it going again. If you come across a frequency while driving.. it will knock out and you will hear whatever station that gets close to the frequency you’re set to. The buttons and dial are just ok. So us display. Very happy with all aspects of this product except I haven't figured out how to turn off the broken-English voice announcement that the unit is ready to pair or has connected to device. Not sure if you can. It was funny at first but has become annoying. This item is cute and stylish I agree. It's barely noticeable some of the buttons do light up.
