What a price. Classy bmw type fobs. Works perfectly. Extra functions like lights and siren will be hooked up later. On pt cruiser touring, I used same resistors as previous unit (220 ohm and 15 kohm) switched to ground. Very happy especially compared to the cost of replacing a factory remote key.

I bought this item because it was less expensive than replacing a single remote for my existing aftermarket keyless entry. The installation was very easy (of course I already had the wires available) and worked 100% right out of the box, The instructions were fine, but not necessarily for first-time installers. (I owned a mobile electronics business for many years) The instructions show a wire for 'window roll up', which is actually a ground output while locked, which is traditionally used as a starter kill, by activating a relay to interrupt the starter wire, To use it as a window roll-up you'd need a separate window roll-up module (not included). This item includes separate outputs for left/right parking lights (helpful for older European cars), and a 12v output for a siren (not included), but no inputs for alarm triggers (doors, hood, etc.), but could be used for a lock/unlock/car finder chirp. Overall, I recommend this item as an easy add-on keyless entry to add onto a car with existing power locks and trunk release, and has very nice remotes with a slim profile (not a 23A battery!) and actual switches (not membrane pads) for the buttons. Hope this info helps! -DavidRead full review

This product is simply amazing. Works perfectly. I installed it in a 1999 toyota camry. The hardest thing was discovering if the camry door locking module required a common positive signal or ground signal. (grounded in my case) The included directions contained sufficient wiring to interface to the wiring harness. I had to look up the lock/unlock colors for the car, that was only slightly difficult, and once found simply spliced in. I only wanted the door lock/unlock functions, and it worked great. Connect the two power wires (12 volts and ground), the lock wire, the unlock wire, and the common lock/unlock ground wire . Couldn't be easier. 5 wire connections is all I needed, and wanted. It has an awesome blinking blue LED when locked too, good for security. Completely satisfied with this product. Remotes are good quality too. all in all, a killer deal. Or go buy a name brand for 10X the cost and have the same end result. kind of a no brainer.Read full review

The good news is I now have remote door opening for $25. The locking door kit has 2 sets of outlets. My unit had no output on 1 set and a normal 12 volt pulse on the others intended for horn, lights etc. Maybe the set with no output was radio frequency which I don't understand. I discovered my Colorado used a ground pulse at the door switch to initiate opening so I used a relay using the horn 12 volt pulse to open a ground circuit. The most difficult part was identifying the opening wire from 20 in the loom going to the door. Good luck it can be done.

I've had mine for about a month now and all seems to be good. The remotes have a good feel and seem too have a good range. I've used it from about 50ft away. I will say the instructions are almost useless to someone that doesn't know how to read schematics or understand how a relay works. Took me about 30 minutes to install but I was using part of my old system so that made it a bit quicker. Once installed it works great in my 1994 f350. I would buy it again.
