I used this for the first time in my food truck last week. Initially I was excited because the product seemed legit. However after initial inspection it was missing the gasket that it needs in the housing and I had to rig up something in order to avoid gas leaking from the back. That issue aside, it’s a very dangerous product because there is no safety shut off switch or anything Monitoring the temperature other than you. You have to keep constantly checking the temp and adjusting. I got busy for a good 20 minutes and forgot to check it and next thing you know the fryer is boiling over and my temperature was it 676°. It was a smoky mess and grease boiled over my counters and floors. I am the owner and I don’t even feel comfortable using that thing on a busy day, much less having employees be responsible to manage that thing. It needs a shut off switch that automatically shuts the fryer off when it gets above 425 degrees. Seriously. This is an accident waiting to happen.Read full review

I purchased 3 new Uniworld UGF-72 Propane (LP Gas) commercial countertop deep fryers for my concession business. We tried to use one about a month ago and could not get it to maintain a constant temperature. We used a cooking thermometer to set the temperature but once the product was dropped into the hot oil, the oil temperature dropped from 350 degrees to about 300 degrees and then took another 10 minutes to recover to 350 degrees again. We ended up with a product soaked in oil and it was not sale able. Try as we may we could not keep a constant temperature. I called the wholesaler and they informed me that there was no thermostat on the deep fryer. The deep Fryer description states that it has a gas control knob and has a temperature range of 0 to 392 degrees. This deep fryer is unless a constant oil temperature can be maintained. It had one customer report with a 5 star rating. I now feel that was a setup.Read full review

I bought three of them. Does not keep oil hot enough to cook French fries. The handle on one basket won’t stay attached. I bought these because they use propane. But I found using a stove and Dutch ovens with a wire basket works much better with better temperature control

You have a difficult time controlling the temperature. It is not thermostat controlled so you are constantly adjusting the flame. Don't waste your money on this fryer.

This fryer works great, used it at an event for two days about 6 hours each day. If you want to spend more for auto temp controls go ahead. Don’t be angry when you buy a fryer that clearly states manual temperature setting but you don’t want to monitor it. It’s a great fryer for the money.
