Season Six of Ultimate Fighter was an expected season. It starts off with Matt Serra bad mouthing Hughes (but that's what makes it interesting), saying that the poster of him looks as though he was "taking a tinkle." Hughes' attitude of me, me. me gets a little stale when he feels he has the best team, he has more depth as a coach, he brings his team chicken wings when they watch a UFC match, when a judges decision doesn't go his way etc. If he is so damn good, how is he losing most of his matches to Team Serra. And give me a break, a bible study class. Get a grip Matt Hughes, you showed that you are a good coach only when you feel the need to abused your team members with brutal training sessions. Your "the one who doesn't do well gets me next" crap you spew should get you bitch smacked. Be glad that your faith in GOD got your ONLY TWO fighters into the finals. Matt Serra would have been right to have Danzig and Speer fight each other in the semi rough. You didn't do a damned thing, Mac Danzig is just that damned good. Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock's not so convincing chest thumping was more entertaining that Matt Hughes' personality. Get a grip Hughes, the younger, faster, and hungrier fighters are nipping at your heals. Oh, before I forget, Serra, although you did get the belt, stop acting like such a little dick. the Napoleon complex is a little staleRead full review
"UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra and legendary former champion Matt Hughes don’t like each other. What they hate even more is losing, and neither coach on season six of the hit Spike TV reality series ''The Ultimate Fighter'' will be willing to give an inch as they try to lead 16 of the top young welterweights in the world through a heated six week competition and to a UFC contract. The Finale featured two bouts that were ranked on UFC.com’s list of TOP FIGHTS OF 2007: #4 – Jon Koppenhaver vs. Jared Rollins #1 – Roger Huerta vs. Clay Guida BOTH of these fights are included in this 5-disc set!" I absolutely love this show and would recommend it to anyone interested in combat sports...This show got me hooked on MMA! 5 Discs with every episode and the live finale, with a plethora of extras. Well worth the money.Read full review
one of the best seasons!! Very competitive and entertaining! Lots more interesting than the first few seasons. Some fairly talented fighters but not the best season as far as having a ton of different talent packed in one season. Only a few fighters actually stood out as good and with potential to be great in the UFC. Overall a very good season well worth the purchase!!
This is what you love about the UFC. It shows lots of in depth training by the two coaches and lots of behind the scenes of the fighters. The coaches really dislike each other which provides a lot of good one-liners, especially from Matt Serra. It is disappointing that in the finale, Serra didn't fight Hughes (due to an injury) but the show stands on it's own. I love the Ultimate Fighter Series as you really learn about the fighters individually and see their struggles to live out their dreams. You can't help but have more respect for what it takes to be at the top of your game in such a competitive sport. I recommend this if you are a fan of the series or of Ultimate Fighting in general.
If you like the ultimate fighter you will like this season with the 2 matts and the grudge they have for one another its awsome great season a must have!!!!
