Trumpeter's new 1:350 scale model of the Royal Navy heavy cruiser HMS Cornwall (1942) is a beautiful, well-engineered kit (based entirely on an out-of-the-box examination; I have not yet begun to assemble it). The single piece full hull fits precisely around the single deck piece (this ship was flush-decked), and the various plastic parts seem to be well-shaped. There are brass photoetch frets for all railings, ladders and the boat/aircraft cranes. A simple painting scheme is provided but no rigging instructions. The two Supermarine Walrus floatplanes are molded in clear plastic, unlike the standard gray for the rest of the ship. A small decal sheet is included for flags and the markings on the Walruses. The more experienced modeler may wish to order supplemental aftermarket details such as brass gun barrels, a wood deck and a more advanced photoetch set from other vendors.Read full review

I like it. A lot of the more mind numbing parts of building from other kits have been removed. Detail is good. Build goes together well.. Oddly enough mine didn't seem to include any sort of anchor chain, plastic, chain, PE, ect. I have extra so wasn't a big deal, but kind of weird. Everything else is great.
