The Traxxas Slash started it all for the short course R/C scene. I have had several in just about every type of set up from brushed to brushless, on and offroad. This truck can take alot of abuse my 7 year old son entered the R/C world with one 2wd. The Traxxas allows their esc to have a training mode built in which is perfect allowing the user to master the feel and control of the truck once thats done you can dial it up. Want more power go from brushed to brushless and throw in a lipo battery. The 2wd model is cheaper easy to work on and can be modified to be extremely fast the 4wd model allows you to put crazy power in it takes a little more know how to keep maintained. The parts are abundant even sold at my local PepBoys automotive store. As with any R/C items do break and will need repairing or replacement. This comes with the hobby learning how to work on your truck. I don't understand why people abuse their truck jumping from several feet in the air, run it through a lake to sit and rust then complain about it being damaged. You get more for your money with the Slash I have owned several and enjoyed each and every one of them. If you want to have fun and enter the short course scene this is the one to get. If you are looking to race one on the track then you may want to look into more race geared models by Associated, Losi etc. Buy a Slash you cant go wrong!Read full review

I was asked to place a review on the purchase of a 5805 Trassas Slash 5805 Radio controlled truck. Well, I never purchased one. I've purchased pieces, but never a full truck.
