I got this bridle because my other draft horse bridle, was tight through the browband and my horse was giving me a hard time bridling him. I thought with the snap for the browband it would help and it works great!! The bridle is truly well made and wasn't near as stiff as I thought it might have been for a new bridle. The only issue I have, is that the noseband is too small. I have 17.1 hand Percheron, the bridle fit every where else just fine, except that the noseband wasn't even close to fitting. The noseband does seemI solved using a throat latch off of another old bridle I had and it is fine now. I know it says a draft mule bridle, so that could be the difference, mule vs. horse. But otherwise it fit him great and he seems very happy in it. His other bridle is 46' from bit end to bit end and on this bridle he is on the smallest or second smallest hole on all adjustments other than the noseband.Read full review

This is a beautiful bridle, but it is HUGE. I have adjusted it to make it as small as possible and it doesn't fit any horse or mule I have. I don't have tiny mules (15 hh, 1,000 lbs or so) or horses so it seems this bridle is more appropriate for a draft sized mule. It's well made and really is lovely, but I'm not sure I can even put enough extra holes in it to use it.

My new mule is large headed 15hh guy. Would not say he is lightly built. This bridle even on the smallest fitting swallowed him. I am attempting to add additional holes to accommodate him, but may take some work.

Made well but is HUGE! Wish I would have read the other reviews before I bought it. There is no way I can make it fit my mule. Will be sending it back, unfortunately.
