Didn't work the way i thought it would, But works perfectly with 3.5mm Aux Speakers!
I had bought this device with the intention of me being able to just use my headphones on my tv after connecting it, But it didn't work out for me the way i thought it would. I have a modern 32" samsung flat screen that has no aux jack or audio outputs. But i do have a optical audio output port on my tv. So i went ahead and tried my luck by buying this device, As well as a RCA to female aux cable to see if connecting my wired headphones would work. It did work, But the audio was so low that it was no point in even using it. Ever went to the hospital and took one of those hearing tests? That's how low it sounded. Perhaps it could've been the type of headphones i had, But it made no sense to me that it wouldn't work, Considering that the headphones i used has a amp on it. So keep in mind that if you trying to get a pair of headphones to work, it might require a specific type of headphone. So what i tried instead was connect my external computer speakers to the device instead and it works perfectly. You have to turn your speakers up a little higher than usual to be able to hear it, But it picks up the feedback decently well, Enough to be satisfied with it. On top of that, Since my external speakers has a aux jack on them, I plugged my headphones into my speaker jack after plugging the speakers into the device and it worked perfectly. Isn't that weird?! But overall, i am satisfied with the device and it works as intended. Keep in mind that you do have to change your tv settings from tv speakers to external speakers. This thing wasn't plug and play, Well for me it wasn't. If you have a tv similar to mines and you trying to use external aux speakers on it, Then this device is your answer. But you will have to buy a "RCA to Aux" cable (one side should be the standard red and white audio component cords that we all know, And the other side of the cord should be a female 3.5mm jack that you can plug anything into.) along with it. The one i bought was less than $4, But you can find them here on ebay for less than $10.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Compact and useful
I have an older flat screen LG TV that has no RCA output for external speaker. It only has place for either earphone or digital optical output. The earphone jack has a limiter on the output for hearing safety and that's not powerful enough to drive the amplified external speaker. This converter allows the optical output from the TV to connect to the speaker with enough power to drive the speaker at at higher output.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didn't work for my purpose.
I don't know if I tried to use it for a purpose for which it was not intended but it did not work. We tried to hook up a sound bar with rca input to a tv with coaxial output but all we got was a loud buzz. Thankfully it was very inexpensive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
