Wanda Brunstetter is never a disappointment and has done it again. She takes six people from all walks of life, throws them together to learn how to quilt. The book was a delight to read and I loved the ending. I definitely did not see it coming and I love surprise endings. I loved it!, Brunstetter draws you in to the inner circle of her characters, making you feel like you are part of the quilting class. You long to join a group of misfits, learn the art of quilting, and possibly come out with a whole new group of friends, or at least new acquaintances., I really enjoyed how the author was able to mix the old characters and new characters. She has written a very well written and entertaining story. I liked the first book but really enjoyed "Tattered Quilt". I could not put it down!!!!!!! A definite Sunday afternoon read!!!!!, I know that there is not a doubt in my mind that I loved this book.The relationships that are built during the quilting classes amaze me and totally didn't go the way I expected., THE TATTERED QUILT really pulls at your heart strings. I was instantly caught up in the characters' lives. It was almost as if I were sitting at the table with them and we were all friends. Wanda's novels always leave me thinking about the choices I have made in my own life and how I can be a better person. I look forward to reading more of this heartfelt series., Loved this book, maybe even more than the first one in the series! I loved being able to "catch-up" with characters from the original novel!, It was a highly satisfying read nonetheless and I will definitely be buying a print copy to add to my collection of feel-good and heart-warming books which I read several times., I do recommend this book, especially if you want a good, clean read that doesn't have an overwhelming Amish nor romance feel to it. A great mixture of characters to show that we most definitely are all different., This is the second book in this series by Ms. Brunstetter and I loved it. As a matter of fact, I didn't have the pleasure of reading book one, but after reading this one I'm definitely going to read it now. I loved the storyline and the characters were completely believable to me. I also loved how everyone learned a lesson or two by working together, no matter if they were English or Amish. This author pens wonderful stories that transport you into every setting she creates. I've read a few books by this author in the past and each time she never disappointed me. Mending tattered lives, miraculous transformations, faith and friendship abound in this sequel that can stand alone. While not her typical Amish tale, the heartwarming scenes, family values and convincing characters still make the reader a part of the story - and the quilting club., What makes this book such fun to read is how it is told through all the classmates eyes. It reads like a Christian soap opera, if there were such a thing. There's romance between several characters, there are personal struggles and so much more. This series isn't your typical Amish read and that's what makes it such fun. I love Emma and her husband Lamar. They really seem to pull the goodness out of everyone., I love books by Wanda Brunstetter! I love the fact that Brunstetter puts the most unlikely to want to learn quilting in Emma's classes. She puts in characters who have somewhat ulterior motives. This adds interest and an element of engagement to the story.The characters are likable and story always moves along well. I hope there are more books to come in this series!, As the story progressed, each chapter takes a turn at highlighting the individual student's life and how they slowly but surely come to learn life-lessons from the patient and loving Millers. It's fun to see the changes these folks undergo and how they become much better people as a result of the classes. If you love Amish-themed stories, you will love Wanda's "Quilting Club" series., I fell in love with Emma in The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club and was thrilled to continue to read about Emma and her new marriage to Latham. I really enjoyed seeing the characters from the first book and how their lives intertwine with the new quilters. I got some great tips on quilting as a bonus!, "The Tattered Quilt" by Wanda Brunstetter is a 5 star book. If you love Wanda Brunstettler books this will be one of your favorites.
