Plies puts forth an acceptable debut album. In today music climate, the ringtone friendly singles are obligatory. However, if you get into the album, there is some substance there (check out "100 Years"). I'd recommend "The Real Testament" to club DJs and Floridians full of hometown pride, but the average underground hip-hop fan may wish to visit an MP3 download site and pick out 3 or 4 non-singles to hold you over until Plies releases his un-A&Red sophomore LP (fingers crossed).
