For a 30+ year-old CD it was in excellent condition! Played perfectly with intact artwork & jewel case. Shipping was relatively quick.

This was the best album of the 1980's and has stood the test of time. A month doesn't go by without me playing it. Every single track is brilliant - and different to the last. It's as if all Donald Fagen's musical brilliance was condensed to fit into these eight songs. Each one is an individual masterpiece. The lyrics and the music are simply top quality and this album has not been bettered. If you think you like Donald Fagen or the Steely Dan sound, you will love this. Unlike nearly every other album, there are no turkeys here. Every track is excellent and the entire album is above criticism. This was the pinnacle of Donald's musical achievements, as if everything that went before was in preparation for this masterpiece. Just buy it.
In retrospect, this is by far the best of Fagen's solo efforts; a true masterpiece from start to finish. Fagen lays down a smooth, heavily jazz laced CD with the focus being on the piano and vocals. My favorite track by far is the title track, but I.G.Y., New Frontier, and Walk Between the Raindrops (a throwback to the 50's big band sound) all have that special something that can only be described as Steely Dan. The entire CD leaves nothing to be wanted; except MORE of the same. It is a crime that Fagen's solo work has not gotten the critical acclaim as his other little project (you know, a little band called Steely Dan) because this album is stellar. An instant classic from the day it was released, and now a true classic almost 20 years later.
One of the best recorded albums ever. Technically, perfect. If you want to find out just how good your audio system can sound, get this. And some excellent music, too. Don't ask questions, just get it.

This is a great album on any medium (album, CD, DVD-A, even MP3...) It's a jazz-pop musical journey for the ears from the great Donald Fagen. It is not a Steely Dan album, it has its own concept and feel. includes some nostalgia for the 50s/60s era long gone.
