A poet finds his true calling when he is recruited by the secret police and tasked with infiltrating a deadly anarchist movement dedicated to creating mayhem. The movement is run by a mysterious council of elected anarchists, each named after a day of the week, each endowed with a unique quirk of horror. At the head of the council sits the monstrous Sunday. A man of immense bulk and power, Sunday instills fear and loyalty in his followers; a man capable of anything. When one of the members is confronted by Sunday, it sets off a chain of bizarre events which become a thrilling nightmare for the poet-turned-spy.
