If you are one who has the desire to really learn and understand what you are reading, this is the Bible to go to. I bought mine 6 years ago and it has become the only one I use. I've read the Bible in a year, good accomplishment (I thought) but guess what? my understanding of God's word was still zip. The Bible is unlike any other book ever written. Therefore, it requires a well organized method of study to not only comprehend what God has to tell us, but to understand the very flow of the Old Testament through the New Testament. These are things I never really saw until I started using my Inductive Study Bible by Precepts International. Not only do they sell their New Inductive Study Bible NASB (and another version ) but they have Precepts classes world wide. I've attended a class locally for several years and the Inductive study method used is a life-changer which grows you in Faith and causes you to hunger for more. I absolutely recommend it for your Bible study and learning. There are also different bindings, leather and hard cover, with and without the indexing. The best part? it is formatted with wider margins especially for your notes. Every book is introduced by giving background information about the historical time, place and the author. Also, you are given tools explaining how to observe, interpret and apply what you learn. A must for anyone!Read full review

I bought this Bible to do the Kay Arthur inductive Bible study series. It's a wonderful tool, well worth the price. I highly recommend filling in all of the charts as part of your Bible study process, BUT be very careful of the kind of pen you use as the pages are very thin and most pens WILL bleed through (even the pens that are specifically sold as "non-bleed" types). I do NOT recommend following the inductive study instructions that suggest drawing symbols on/over the words/phrases to denote the meanings of passages, etc. It's a very interactive type of study AT THE TIME, but afterwards the words are completely obliterated, so it's very distracting/unreadable. If you want to use the symbols suggested in the instructions, I recommend putting them in the margin beside the line containing the word or phrase that you want to highlight.Read full review
This is not your ordinary study bible. It is not full of commentary like most. It does provide an introduction to each book, along with lots of timelines. Their system of study is included, with a place for notes for each book, but you really don't have to follow it to appreciate this bible. It is very readable (nice font and minimal bleed-through) and appears well made. Lots of references.

I enjoy the inductive study method and purchased the NASB version for my daughter to use in family Bible study. Both this one and the ESV version are sound translations. They both have study guides and aides, cross references, a good concordance, and plenty of margin for notes.
