Most reviews were positive, but a few said it was too "Hallmark" and the narrator didn't take war seriously. It was our Book Club selection for June, and I found it a delight! Lots of subtle humor, quirky characters, and some great historical insight into the War, including life with diminishing food sources, enemy occupation, and lines that blur between friend and foe. Interesting and easy read...the title, itself, compels one to read the book, if only to discover its meaning.
