My 6 cell maglite batreris were pretty much drained and would barely light up the original incandescent bulb but when I put this terralux led in the weak batteries lit it up so bright I couldn't even think of looking into the bulb!!! Amazing the light I got from dead batteries!! I went and got new batteries and it throws a spotlight beam out as good as any million candle watt spotlight that I have ever had. I also have not noticed any battery drain over a lot of usage for 2 months.

Used this in a near new MagLight 4 cell flashlight with brand new quality batteries. Disappointed in this product. While no doubt it will be durable and long lasting and will improve battery life it's advertised as 200 ANSI Lumens. Have a number of LED flashlights that are rated as less but are much brighter. Thought perhaps there was some issue with the flashlight contacts but they are perfect. Checked batteries with a meter and they are 1.57 Volts each. It's the bulb. Not up to par.

I converted 3 of my old D-Cell Mag Lites and the batteries last much longer and the flashlights are much brighter. Just pop in as you would a bulb. In about 5 years none have failed. Not for use with the rechargeable Mag Lites.

It's brighter and whiter and a simple drop-in replacement. Plus you'll probably never need to replace it again, so covert to LED. I love it.
