I had this album originally as a cassette. Somehow over the years I lost it. I wanted a CD version, since that's the only way I can play it in my car these days. Though I adore Wynonna, I bought this CD for one reason: "Girls with Guitars." As written by Mary Chapin Carpenter, it's a direct take off on a song by Dire Straits called "Sultans of Swing." The final line, "Get your money for nuthin' and your guys for free," makes me smile each time I hear it. I've expended quite a bit of effort to memorize the song, so I can sing along with Wynonna and Lyle Lovett. Wynonna is considered a country artist. I am a fan of many types of music, including country. This album leans more toward pop with a dash of down home.
I love her music, she is a very strong woman and it shows thru her music. This is a good CD album. I have listened to her for years and would love to see her live. I watch her TV movie where she went on tour with her mom after a long breakup they had. They have both been thru alot and it all comes out and it would be a very good movie to watch with a daughter or with your mother and even include the siblings. you wont be disappointed itf you like her music .
Excellent cd...i love it
