Pros: Well made. Dispite the pink grip(changed now), it came at a great price and shipped fast. Hits really well, has 3 types of adjustment to really dial it in and get you hitting straiter shots. Looks great. Feels good in the hands. Lots of control. Cons: white club head gets dirty (easy to clean)

Long time golfer and have used TaylorMade drivers for a lot of years. I like the flexibility of the R11 settings, played with various combinations at first but wound up back at the standard settings. I find that the driver is pretty forgiving but can't honestly say there is a lot of difference between it and my previous driver, the R7. The one thing I like about it is the white head. It definitely gives you a sense of confidence when swinging the club and watching the head pass through the hitting area. It "looks" like it is larger and therefore the perception, if not reality, is of a larger hitting surface. I have found that mishits do seem to adjust more to the target line than with the R7. All-in-all, I would recommend golfers to try it along with all the major brands to find what is right for them. I hit the Ping G15, Titleist 910D2, Adams Speedline and Cleveland Launcher.Read full review
With slight hesitation, purchased a TaylorMade R11 9.5 degree driver (standard stiff shaft) online through ebay - "sight unseen" for 50% less than would have paid at a retail store. Never did this before! Went on the range that night when my package did arrive within a few days as advertised with my trusty torque wrench in my back pocket and proceeded to "dial-in" the club loft (dropped down to a 8 degree)and weight heel/toe distribution (invest in some extra weights). Where I have lost a few yards over the years and been fighting a week fade - IT ALL WENT AWAY THAT WONDERFUL NIGHT! How lovely that all of a sudden, I had a slight draw - something that went missing after two kids and one ex-wife! Played two days later with my favorite group of local hackers. Hit 13 fairways (pulled one left when I got too frisky with bravado) with an extra 20-40 yards (with extra roll)! Should have seen the look on their faces when they pulled out their wallets. No one could or wanted to believe the extra distance. But seeing is believing! Now to be truthful and in full disclosure - I also read a great article on lag putting in Golf Digest on the plane coming home and didn't three put all day but went and shot my best round in 15 years - a 74! This is a guy who only gets to play maybe 10 rounds a year anymore... and most are captain's choice charity event. Maybe I might take up the game seriously again (used to be a 3 HDCP)if I can get rid of my day job and sell my company!Read full review
The Taylor Made R11 driver gives you 2 main options for changing the ball trajectory with the shaft alignment and weight distribution. Not sure if the the weight pad for closing or opening the face does anything but is just cosmetic for the club. Overall this club is great, it has allowed me to hit straighter with top spin and a lower trajectory.
Dropped this R11 head on my original R11s 10 1/2 degree set up. Wow. I had no idea I would love the R11 so much over the 11s. Granted it's a lower loft but it feels and sounds much better IMO. I just added 15 yards to my previous R11s set up. Product was as advised. For being outdated a smidgeon you would never know it if you get the right shaft R11 combo going. Saved me some money for awhile on a new driver. Wish I went with r11 over r11s a long time ago.
