Here's the short and skinny on this one... The quality is probably the best out there, lacquer based I believe. I try to incorporate color primers into my paint schemes if I can, and this one is more of a "cement grey" which may work for certain things. Tamiya's fine surface primer is a much lighter blue/grey with more of an industrial look which may work better on planes and ships and such. Although, I don't think it shows the detail any better than the others, they're all great in that way. I mostly use the flat black.

This is now my go to spray can primer. The paint has extremely fine pigments. It go on smooth with no runs or drips. It also has a fast drying time. I highly recommend Tamiya Surface Primers.

If you're a modeler that takes their builds to be painted, this is a must primer. Not only will it lay down a beautiful even coat, it will help you find those areas that need a bit more attention, that otherwise you would miss. A must product for the hobby builder.

Excellent primer, very fine particles, fast dry time, spreads evenly without runs. Goes on plastic model even with no sanding, just after an alchool surface wash. Best i found for an amateur like me.

Bought this can and it gets the job done! Also better than Tamiya White primer. Recommend this to car model builders.
