If you have ever wanted to be able to examine your automobile's onboard diagnostics information or reset the warning light on your dash, this inexpensive device is the cheapest way to go. Together with a smartphone and one or more apps that range from free to few dollars (maybe another $5) you can easily read the onboard diagnostic data, and reset fault warnings you discover. Great for not only the home mechanic, but so easy to use that everyone should get one just to check their vehicle before taking it in for work just to be sure they are getting the right answers from their mechanics.

It works great, I used on many European, Japanese and American vehicles. Even it worked on a 1996 Mercedes. Only issue is it doesn't work on a few models of GM like Acadia, Trailblazer etc. The device itself is great but the app (torque) is not good as it should be. You will have to search current, pending and historic codes separately. They need to upgrade the app. App is free though, can't expect more from this OBDII for such a cheap price.

Although the Bluetooth connects and talks with the unit, it would not communicate with the ECU on 2005 Chevrolet pickup with 5.3 engine. No serial number on the unit, looks like a cheap knock-off.
